He even is warned by repented Temba and Magnus, but fuck them because of no reason? I can understand about Lorgar, Angron and Curze siding him, but Fulgrim and Mortarion? Why?ĭon't take me wrong, I'm loving the books, but IMO they have some huge plot holes.The Great Crusade that has taken humanity into the stars continues. Why is that? He passes from 100% loyal to 100% traitor and ambitous? Is he already corrupted by the Chaos because of Temba's blade injury? It doesn't seem like, and if he was it is not well built in the story and seems sort of Deus ex machina. It previously states that he was somehow insecure as he was overwhelmed with responsibility after being granted the title of Warmaster, but it seems too much of an excuse for a rebellion.ĭuring his healing at the Serpent Lodge in Davin, he doesn't buy the Chaotic visions and Erebus' dogmatic bullshit, however he finally turns in favor of the Chaos goods with no good reason, even using the 'Emperor's willing to become a god' excuse, even if not fully believing it previosly. Horus passes to be the Imperium of Man role model, #1 Emperor fanboy, honest and merciful warrior, to a psychotic and treaterous murderer in a very short time.

I just finished reading False Gods and I feel like I'm missing something, I don't know if the story is just poorly written or if Horus is a weak bipolar character.
